You can choose to put grated cheese or grated coconut on the cake in the amount of 3 soup spoons. It is delicious for those who like and can consume such ingredients, Nonetheless, intolerântes a lactose, Careful! If using cheese, make sure you buy a brand that is zero lactose.
Corn does not need to be canned, can be straight from the cob, but it will be more laborious to make the recipe. And if you can, when using tin corn, look for the brands with the fewest possible ingredients described on the can, because that way we make sure we are using an industrial product that is closer to the natural product.
And the taste of canned corn, gets different? In this recipe on here oven pamonha, I thresh the corn directly from the cob and it turns out very well! When I made this tamale cake recipe, I used a can, but no one at home saw how i did. And by coincidence there was boiled corn on the cob that we had for lunch, but I didn't remember it to use in the recipe. When I offered the finished cake to my parents (my faithful tasters) they asked if I had made the cake with the boiled corn and I said no, it had been the tin. They were surprised by the homemade and so accentuated taste of corn that the cake had., so i don't think so, it doesn't change the flavor making it with canned corn.
